Fun and Adventure at Aquanauts Grenada!

Aqua-Tec Grenada provides technical diving courses and support for technical wreck diving. Technical diving by definition is diving beyound recreatinal limits - diving deeper than 130 feet, decompression diving and diving in overhead environments. Our TDI technical courses give you the necessary tools to conduct technical diving safely and responsibly.

Technical Diving Courses

SDI Solo Diver - This is the prefect course for underwater photography and underwater video divers. The solo diver program teaches experienced recreational divers how to safely dive independently of a dive buddy or strengthen your buddy team skills. The course stresses on proper dive planning, personal limitations, accident prevention as well as the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for diving solo.  You will also learn the additional equipment that is required for solo diving including it's proper usage and assembly. US$ 168.-- includes manual, 2 dives and certification. Minimum age 15.

TDI Basic Nitrox - TDI Nitrox course is an entry level course for divers wishing to utilize enriched air nitrox as a breathing gas. Little else has impacted recreational diving more than the introduction of nitrox, allowing more time underwater. During this course, you will learn the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving with EAN 22 to EAN 40. Your TDI Instructor will also cover Equipment considerations; Cylinder labeling and Analyzing of Nitrox. The course follows an easy to read and understand diver manual titled Understanding Nitrox and water proof tables for quick on site reference. US$ 132.-- includes Manual and certification.

TDI Decompression Procedures - As sport divers planned decompression is not something that we do or have been taught. The TDI Decompression Procedures course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45m/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. Your TDI Instructor will provide you with valuable information and skills, among the topics covered are

  • Kit set-up
  • Equipment requirements
  • Decompression techniques
  • Decompression breathing gases
  • Gas management
  • Contingency planning

The TDI Decompressions Procedures course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses.  After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels. Some of the materials you will be using include the TDI Divers Guide to Decompression Procedures, US Navy or Buhlmann Air Decompression Tables (made of vinyl for easy in-water use and storage) costs: US$ 450. -- includes Manual, 4 dives, certification. Minimum age: 15.

TDI Advanced Nitrox - The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 to a depth of 40 metres/130 feet during dives hat do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career.  Advanced Nitrox is also a great course for those wanting to extend their bottom times in shallower depths such as scientific diver, and a must for SCR or CCR divers.   The course cover topics like

  • Equipment requirements
  • Dive planning
  • Oxygen tracking
  • Blending methods

You will use the TDI Advanced Nitrox Diving manual for your course, which explains in an easy to understand practical manner the complex information that Advanced Nitrox divers need to know. Costs: US$ 450.-- includes manual, 4 dives, certification. Minimum age: 15.

TDI Combi - Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures - get two certifications in one course, save time and money! Cost: US$ 750.-- includes 2 manuals, 6 dives and 2 certifications.

All technical diving courses include tanks & weights and 10% VATax.
